At Poseidon AmphibWorks, we understand how beneficial electric, reliable, multi-function amphibious vehicles can be to the worldwide society to redefine what it means to explore, travel plus the negative effects of climate change that will reshape our coastal cities, and how we respond to our most frequent and expensive disasters—flooding.  The Amphibious vehicle market is projected to reach $4.71B by 2027.  However, because our vehicles compare favorably to recreational boats, those markets should also be considered – U.S. recreational boat market in 2021 was $16.26B and is expected to grow to $26B by 2027Global market was $27.3B in 2021 and is expected to grow to $35.2B by 2028.

Our first vehicle, called Trident LS-1, about the size of a Tesla Model X, is the amphibious vehicle reimagined— it is being designed to be a “Highway/Marine legal Hydrofoil Enhanced Amphibious Autocycle,” integrating patent pending leaps in electric road vehicles and hydrofoil marine technology to make it a triple threat in transportation, recreation and search and rescue.  This EV (electric vehicle) is designed to be high performance in both water and on land.  Adjustable depth foils/thrusters allow efficient shallow water travel.

Designed from the start to be U.S. highway and U.S. Coast Guard compliant and designed with the safety and reliability features necessary for both land and water.  As a tow vehicle behind an RV, it is “flat-towable“, that is, “towable on its own wheels“, no trailer is required –  This is a unique feature today in the EV industry, and lastly, this vehicle is multi-function and multi-application.

Some of the Target Customers and use cases Trident LS-1 has been designed for (link should take you to the 3rd slide):
1
– For Adventure Camping (either with vehicle itself or flat-towed behind an RV as both a road & water “dingy”)
2 – As a Practical Use vehicle
3 – Recreational boat use
4 – Contingency plan land and water vehicle
5 – Yacht tender
6 – Water Rescue
7 – Water Taxis and Cargo Transport
8 – Military and Government

Latest Exterior Version 6 Exterior style shown above is a computer-generated concept model of our Trident LS-1 - In some of the above images, wheels are not shown retracted in marine mode - Designed to be U.S. DOT Highway & U.S. Coast Guard Legal Hydrofoil Enhanced Amphibious Autocycle. Patent Pending.
  • PATENT PENDING dual road-marine powertrain platform flexible and modular to accept many different application driven exterior/interior features and styles
  • PATENT PENDING Active stabilized hydrofoils (OPTM is our tech  partners – tech also tested in wave conditions and  on kayaks demonstrating applicability to various sized vehicles) and rudderless differential thrust steering for highest water efficiency (80% lower drag than non-foil e-boats)
  • High performance in both water and on land
  • Electric powertrains so Zero Emissions
  • AWD, motor per wheel, for increased road traction, handling, performance & efficiency
  • U.S. Highway and U.S. Coast Guard compliant, designed  into the prototype from the start
  • Safety and reliability features necessary for both land and water
  • Flat tow-able – “Switch, Hitch and Go”  (Only EV to support this feature – RIVIAN promised, still not offered)
  • Able to use thousands of boat ramps around the world
  • Able to use the worldwide Level 1, 2 and DC Fast Charging network
  • “V2H” – vehicle to home feature planned, so vehicle can be battery backup for home (if owner has installed special EVSE and grid disconnect units.)
  • Modular, reconfigurable rear deck allowing multi-function and multi-application, e.g. Camping kit, see lower left pic in collage to left of this text column.
  • For the MSRP, insure a superior value proposition is offered  to the customer.
  • All of our Trident LS series will have Camping kits, except LS-Lite
  • Design Drivers: Maximize useful space per target customers/applications in most compact footprint -> cab forward; Maximize buoyancy within footprint -> Minimize wheel wells and thruster/foil retract volume penalty; Maximize efficiency in both operation modes; Optimize part usage, each should serve more than 2 functions; Minimize part count; Validate rigorously any requirement to be included in vehicle design requirements specification.
